Visiting Research Fellowships in the Frame of the New Franco-German Research Program "Changing Societies"

The research program funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is jointly organized by the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB) and the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH). In 2017, the programme promotes visiting research fellowships in France and Germany for researchers from both countries for a period from one to six months.

The main focus of the cooperation is the critical evaluation of key societal changes.

The purpose of the visiting research fellowship is to create a close cooperation with the chosen partner organization and thereby work on your own research as well as eventually develop new projects. In order to strengthen the idea of the German-Franco cooperation the participants are expected to choose and organize their visiting research by themselves and in accordance to their projects.

The financial support consists of the reimbursement of the travel costs according to the Federal German Travel Expenses Act (Bundesreisekostengesetz, BRKG). In addition, researchers leaving from Germany to France receive an accommodation allowance of 30€ per night.

Researchers leaving from France to Germany receive an allowance up to 20€ per night against justification (rental contract/bill and record of payment) of the actual costs.

The visiting research fellowships should take place until April 30, 2018. Applications are welcomed until September, 11 2017.
