"We need to talk about transition to adulthood"
Tuesday, 20 January 2026, 1:00 PM CET
Europe is experiencing a demographic shift towards an older society. This makes young people a new political minority. Arnstein Aassve, head of the EU-funded FutuRes Policy Lab, will outline possible consequences of this, based on demographic data for the near future - before inviting a discussion of what could be possible solutions to strengthen the voice of young people. This is the last talk given within the framework of the FutuRes Policy Lab, the legacy of which we hope to carry into coming science-for-policy projects.
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Arnstein Aassve is a Professor of Demography at the Department of Social and Political Science at Bocconi University in Milan; he also acts as the Principal Investigator of the EU-funded FutuRes project, which is about to conclude.
