The BiB launches its own Fellow Programme. With this initiative, the Institute recognises outstanding researchers from Germany and abroad whose work makes a significant contribution to the field of population research.
In the first round, 29 researchers will be honoured in this way.
The BiB's broad range of topics is reflected in the Fellows' diverse academic backgrounds, such as population sciences, geography, gerontology or economics and social sciences. The programme strengthens scientific cooperation between researchers at the Federal Institute and BiB Fellows, for example in the context of joint projects, publications and events.
