Population Europe is delighted to announce that two of our partner institutes will be the home of outstanding projects financed by the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant.

Melinda Mills (University of Oxford) has received an ERC Advanced Grant for her project on 'Chronotype, health and family: The role of biology, socio- and natural environment and their interaction', and Hill Kulu (University of St Andrews) for his project on 'Migrant Life. Understanding Life Trajectories of Immigrants and Their Descendants in Europe and Projecting Future'.

Melinda Mills is Nuffield Professor of Sociology and director of the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science, which was recently founded at the University of Oxford. Hill Kulu is Professor of Human Geography and Demography at the University of St Andrews and currently the Secretary-General and Treasurer of the European Association for Population Studies.
