European Demographer Awards 2023

Population Europe announced the winners of the European Demographer Awards

Diego Alburez-Gutierrez, Leader of the Independent Research Group “Kinship Inequalities” at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Germany, will be awarded the European Demographer Award for a promising and upcoming researcher, who has obtained their Ph.D. within the period of 2017-2022.

Daniele Vignoli, Full Professor of Demography, Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications “G. Parenti” at the University of Florence, Italy, President of the Italian Association for Population Studies and Scientific Coordinator of the programme “Age-It, Ageing Well in an Ageing Society” will be awarded the European Demographer Award for a more experienced researcher, who has obtained their Ph.D. within the period of 2007-2012.

The awards will be presented on January 23, 2024, at the opening evening of the Berlin Demography Days. More information will be provided closer to the event.
